First, Blaise flew to PA for a surprise 40th wedding anniversary party for his parents. Lots of family and lots of friendfs helped to celebrate, including Blaise's aunt, uncle and a few cousins from the west coast (all of which we hope to visit soon!) He got a chance to see all of his family, a little green grass and the newly finished den in his parents' house...oh and the party was a hit!
Jake's birthday: we were able to have a little party for Jacob's 3rd birthday:-) We made Whoopie Pies the day of and BBQ with friends the following Sunday. His friends Ryan and Shelby were able to come and the rest were there to party with the adults. You wouldn't have thought so, though, when all the guys decided to take part in putting together Transformers. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate! Jacob loved the attention and all his gifts, but most especially getting to impress all the grown ups:-)
Car show with Daddy: There is a local car show every Saturday night by our house and every so often Blaise makes a trip for ice cream and a peak at what is there. Stephen got a chance to go with and had a blast!
Then Blaise's parents came to visit at the beginning of September. Most of the pictures are on their camera, so I will request those to post on the blog:-) We made a trip to Boulder City (with a stop at the Coffee Cup Cafe and the Train Museum) and Gilcrease Orchard (okra, banana peppers, squash and zuchini!)
We made it to the grand opening of a new YMCA where the boys sat in a fire engine, bounced in a bounce house and got balloon animals...oh, and we got our work out in:-)
And Frankie and Friends! Frankie is getting soooo big! Crawling, trying to pull himself up, saying "mama" and other sounds. Plus playing with Laila and Mace makes for fun-filled days!
That brings us up to date! Hopefully I can post more regularly now!
