The Sunday baptism was a lot more hectic than planning a sacrament and an after party. Colleen and Anna flew into Las Vegas on their spring break so we were able to pick them up and bring them home right before the festivities began in the afternoon. Luckily, they were just about as tired as we were so we didn't mind going to bed early or napping in the afternoons:-)
Monday was pretty low key but we wanted to make sure Colleen and Anna got to have the Vegas experience. Blaise took the girls down to the strip for a show and some sightseeing. They saw V-The Variety Show and got a chance to see the Strip all lit up, along with the fountain at the Bellagio, the Venetian and Planet Hollywood. They were a little tired by the end of the night because of all the walking but they also go in a little bit of gambling at the penny slots.
Wednesday we decided against the Hoover Dam and instead went to Valley of Fire. Things were going well until Stephen started complaining of eye pain. We had to cut the trip short and drive back to the city to drop Blaise and Stephen at the hospital. An hour later we were picking them up and applying drops to Stephen's Pink Eye. Jake was soon to follow. Luckily the rest of us fared a little better.
As always, we like to have Rosati's Pizza when we have guests and it was excellent! Sadly, the week ended all too quickly and Colleen and Anna returned to ND on Thursday morning.
